General & Restorative Dentistry

Dr. Day and his team are dedicated to providing comfortable and personalized dental care to ensure good oral health and a smile you can always be proud of!

Dental Tools

Dental Exams & Cleanings

A routine dental cleaning removes tartar and plaque buildup, leaving behind a sparkling and polished finish. Dr. Day will perform x-rays to check for tooth decay, tumors, oral cancer, gum disease, and bone loss. Our staff will also examine existing restorations, including fillings, dental crowns, and dental implants, to ensure they’re still in excellent condition.

Oral Cancer Exam

According to research conducted by the American Cancer Society, oral cancer affects more than 50,000 people in the United States. If detected in the early stages, oral cancer can be effectively treated. During an oral cancer examination, we’ll check your oral cavity for sores, red patches, lumps, and leukoplakia. If abnormalities are present, Dr. Day may refer you to the appropriate health professional for an evaluation and biopsy.

Composite Fillings

Composite fillings repair teeth damaged by decay, cracks, and fractures. After removing the affected area, Dr. Day will fill the area with a tooth-colored composite filling to restore your natural smile.

Dental Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns protect and strengthen damaged or decaying teeth. They’re often applied following root canal treatment. They also replace missing teeth when attached to dental implants. Dental bridges cover areas where there are multiple missing teeth.
Lansing MI Day Family Dental Pediatric

Pediatric Dentistry

Studies show that children who receive biannual dental checkups and ongoing education tend to lead healthier and happier lives. At Day Family Dental, our mission is to provide quality pediatric dental care that optimizes your child’s health and wellbeing for a lifetime.

Dental Check-Ups for Infants & Children

Routine pediatric checkups allow us to monitor for new developments, detect tooth decay, screen for health issues, and identify early signs of orthodontic problems. Your child will receive a thorough dental cleaning, digital x-rays, a visual examination of their teeth, gums, tongue, and mouth. We also offer sealants and topical fluoride treatment.

Pediatric Prevention & Treatment

Dr. Day and our staff will work closely with your child to show them how to take proper care of their teeth and have fun in the process. Through early preventative care, we can help instill good oral hygiene habits and reduce the likelihood of cavities, tooth loss, and childhood periodontitis.

We also treat:

  • Childhood teeth grinding
  • Tooth decay
  • Oral health issues caused by thumb sucking, pacifier use, & sippy cups

We provide early orthodontic treatment, as well as oral appliance therapy to help children who snore or suffer from pediatric obstructive sleep apnea. We also offer xylitol sugar-free gum for children who are prone to cavities.

Fluoride Treatment

Topical fluoride, which can be found in toothpaste, mouth rinses, and gels, fights decay by strengthening tooth enamel. Professional fluoride treatment can protect teeth that young kids struggle to reach when brushing.

A sealant is a thin, plastic coating applied to the chewing surface of molars, covering the deep grooves of teeth, which are harder to reach and more susceptible to decay. Sealants are recommended for young children, teenagers, as well as adults who have deep grooves or depressions in their teeth.

Orthodontics can create a better-looking smile, optimize your oral health, and promote a healthier lifestyle. We offer a variety of orthodontic treatment options for patients of all ages.

Early Orthodontic Intervention

Early orthodontic treatment can correct jaw misalignment and severe orthodontic irregularities. We offer MyoBrace®, a pre-orthodontic oral appliance that addresses crooked teeth and poor jaw development. Our clinic also offers traditional braces and oral appliance therapy.

Traditional Braces

With metal braces, you or your child can achieve a straighter and more uniform smile. Traditional metal braces correct crooked teeth, overcrowding, and jaw misalignment by applying steady pressure and periodic tightening throughout treatment.

ClearCorrect™ aligners are an alternative to traditional metal braces. Using precise engineering, these removable plastic aligners gradually move teeth over time. With ClearCorrect™ aligners, you can maintain your confidence while achieving your dream smile.

Airway Management

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a serious sleep disorder that obstructs breathing and causes snoring, daytime sleepiness, and diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and other health issues if left untreated.

Dr. Day is a leader in airway management and oral appliance therapy who is passionate about helping his patients take charge of their overall health. Our clinic offers removable oral appliances that are customized to fit your mouth, support your jaw, and prevent your airway from collapsing.
